What are the student hours for Double Branch Elementary?
Student hours are 9:40 AM – 3:50 PM.

 

What grades are available at the school?
Double Branch Elementary has classes from VPK through 5th grade.

 

What technology is available at the school?
DBES incorporates many forms of technology, including ScreenBeams, iPads, MacBook & Dell laptops. We look to leverage as many forms of technology as possible to enhance learning and engagement at the school.

 

Are students allowed to bring their own technology?
Yes, we have a Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) program at the school. All personal technology brought to the campus should be able to be used for the learning process and should not be used for distractions. The school cannot assume liability for these devices but will work with families to support how they can be used to advance learning both on campus and at home. Is there be a PLACE program (before/after school care) at DBES?
Yes, there is PLACE at DBES. The PLACE staff are onsite to care for children from 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Additional information and registration process questions can be directed to the district PLACE staff at 813.794.2180 or by clicking here.

 

Does the school have services for students in the gifted program?

Yes, DBES serves students who have a Gifted Education Plan through an inclusion model. This means that gifted services are embedded in all subjects and part of everyday learning. Students do not have to leave the classroom to receive such services.

Does the school have a bike rack for students?

Yes, DBES has bike racks near the main entrance of the school as well as the back of the school. The bike rack at the back of the school is for Foxwood and Enclave communities only.
